Jenna decided today while I was making bread that she needed to help, but not with the bread but to make donuts..so I being the amazing mom that I am decided why not so I found a recipe for buttermilk donuts and the
girls helped out and we had a lot of fun making spring time donuts.
Recipe:

Brigham Young's Buttermilk Donuts
Mix together:
5 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
Cream together :
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet add more flour as needed until it forms a stiff dough. Roll out until it is 1/4-1/2 inch thick. cut into doughnuts. fry in hot oil drain and coat in sugar.
